In 2023, a group of Hong Kong-based runners created a new unofficial trekking route - named Tinworth Trail, in honor of Nic Tinworth. Nic was a leading figure to the Hong Kong trail running community. Some iconic races like Country of Origin and 9 Dragons were organized by Nic and his friends. The trail is 93km long, from the far northern area of Hong Kong to the far Southern Lantau Island.
British runner - @Jo Lodder decided to run this trail once it launched. Not just Tinworth Trail, but Jo decided to run all 5 long hiking trails existing in Hong Kong in just 5 days. Which we called this action ‘5 in 5’.
Jo himself decided to call this challenge Run for Freedom, and launched it as a charity event, raising money for disabled people and abandoned animals.
Jo finished strong and once again we congratulate him on such tough and meaningful challenge!

2023年一群本地跑手開創了一條全新的非官方長途遠足徑 –Tinworth Trail。此徑是為紀念因腦癌而逝世的香港越野跑好手及賽事主辦者Nic Tinworth。經典賽事如Country of Origin和9 Dragons亦由他和朋友一手主辦。Tinworth Trail全長93公里，由香港東北的沙頭角跨越至南面的大嶼山。
新徑出現不久，居港英國跑手 Jo Lodder 就決定用5天時間走完全部5條長途遠足徑，行動簡稱「5 in 5」。
Jo將這計劃命名為Run for Freedom，借此活動為殘障人士及被遺棄動物籌款。
Jo日前順利完成5 in 5，再次恭喜Jo！
